We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and hard working GP to join our dedicated team at Camphill Medical Practice and provide high quality care to our patients in an environment of warmth and compassion. The ideal candidate will play an active role within the practice to contribute to the maintenance of our high standards and help develop patient services for the future. We work as a close-knit team and make decisions together at weekly meetings so a team mindset is important to this role. Finding the right candidate is important to us so we are willing to be flexible to accommodate preferences regarding working hours.

The practice is situated within an area of outstanding natural beauty near the River Dee with possibly the best view from any consulting room in the city with regular appearances by wildlife including deer, woodpeckers and red squirrels.  We are a 5 minute drive from the Aberdeen City bypass and Royal Deeside and Cairngorms National Park are easily accessible.

We take a holistic approach to care, using conventional medicine as the basis and can extend this, where appropriate and wanted by patients, our Clinicians offer an integrative approach and work closely with 3rd sector charity organisation the Camphill Wellbeing Trust. An interest in this approach is not essential for this post but training is available if desired.

We have a list size of around 1970 patients, a number of whom have moderate to severe learning disabilities; an interest in this field would be advantageous. The practice also has a high proportion of elderly patients with complex medical needs; therefore an interest in elderly medicine would also be advantageous.

Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required. For more information visit

We are involved in 5th year medical student teaching with students from The University of Aberdeen.

As a Section 2c Practice, our staff are employees of NHS Grampian and are managed by Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership. NHS Grampian is a people-focused organisation offering employment practices which are both flexible and family-friendly.

Hours: 20 hours per week; some flexibility in hours and work pattern possible, for discussion at interview.

The Sheiling Ringwood, a Camphill school and college, is looking for an Anthroposophical Massage Therapist who is interested in working as part of a holistic approach within a large therapy team comprising conventional therapists: speech and language, occupational therapy as well as behaviour coordinators. The Sheiling’s Therapy Offer includes the complementary anthroposophical therapies of transactional arts therapy, Eurythmy, colour light therapy, music and massage.  The Health and Therapy team also comprises a registered nurse, who leads the team and a health administrator.  Whilst the Sheiling has gone through many changes over the years, our ethos is based on anthroposophical approaches and stands at the heart of our work.

Massage therapy with children and young adults with learning difficulties is exceedingly rewarding as their response to massage is so immediate and profound.  Hanna Woods, who has been our massage therapist for nearly 30 years, is stepping back from her role so we are looking for a successor.   Initially, there will be a possibility to job share with Hanna as she will continue to work 2 mornings a week from Easter 2021 but will withdraw fully within a few years.

The Sheiling is open to any offers, from sessional work to part-time hours, ideally up to 4 days per week.  The remuneration for the role will be based on FTE (37.5 hours per week term time plus 3 additional weeks) of £24,728- £30,171. We welcome interest for part time, full time and sessional work (please enquire about hourly rates if interested in this).

If you feel you might be interested in this role, please contact me, Corine van Barneveld, via email at or phone 07848 028532.

The Sheiling Ringwood is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.  An enhanced DBS and Barred List check will be required. Staff are also prohibited  from promoting extremist/radical religious or one-sided  political views whilst working at The Sheiling Ringwood (TSR) and /or whilst participating in activities associated with their employment within TSR.
