'The Mount' Medical Section Study Meeting

How can we understand ourselves in relationship to nature, the world , the cosmos around us? How is this relationship reflected in the design of our human organism? And how can this translate into a system of medicine?

This long-standing, annual conference seeks to build substance and community through combining in depth lecture study with class lesson work to enliven our daily work. In line with Rudolf Steiner’s guidance at the founding of the General Anthroposophic Society, it strives to combine deepest possible esoteric study with greatest possible openness.

It is therefore open to everyone, and specifically to those who have not previously attended but who are enthusiasticto join in. Over the next three years we want to study some of the more hidden aspects ofthe human organism in relation to nature and the cosmos based on the lecturecycle Harmony of the Creative Word, Oct/Nov 1923, GA230; ISBN 978 185584098 0. We will begin with lecture 10 which explores aspects of the evolution of thehuman organism, health and illness, nutrition and education.

Our lecture study and class lesson work will be enriched through eurythmy, themed talks, walks in nature and clinical case studies. A more detailed programme will be sent to registered participants. We would strongly encourage everyone attending to read the whole lecture cycle in preparation, with a particular emphasis on lectures 1-3 and 10.

Due to Covid regulations this year’s event cannot take place in its usual venue at The Mount Camphill Community; and the Emerson College venue is restricted to a maximum of 30 on-site participants.
